Shame Warne????!!!!!!!!

After Shane Warne announceD that he would be retiring from cricket after the ashes, there has been great speculation whether Warne should be given the immense amount of respect he is given and whether he should be considered as the greatest ever of all times!!!!This is primarily due to various footages and photos publishes over the last couple of years which revealed his casanova kinda image.

Warne has taken over 700 wickets for Australia, and has been one of the best spinners in the world for a long time now! This rare feat achieved by him, has always been overshadowed by his not so gentleman nature. Does media really have the right to dig into his personal life, and tarnish his image? If it had been any other individual, I don't think they would have taken so much of interest into his life!I mean he man has done something that no one else has ever done before, mind you 700 wickets is not a joke!!! Does his private life come over what he has achieved? I no way think that a feat like this can be overruled! What he has given to Australia is a creditable achievement by far!!

Is it right to call him SHAME WARNE?

Larsson to move!!!

Its true.. and its been termed as 'good business' for Manchester United. Sir Alex has got Henrik Larsson, the Celtic and Ex-Barcelona striker on loan to Old Trafford. Larsson will be on loan with the reds from 1st of Jan 2007 to the 12th of March.

This results in Man U having as many as 6 strikers, in the new year.

DADA-Giri is bak!!!

Many would have been expecting the return of DADA aka Sourav Ganguly into the Indian cricket team after their dismal performance in the one-dayers at South Africa!!! A 3-0 battering is not something to b proud of!!!!

The whole plan of grooming the youngsters before the World Cup has gone for a toss, and I guess the selecters are relying on the experience of Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman now. But the question here is whether Ganguly can live up to the faith that the selectors have invested in him! I guess after the 3-0 beating the selectors dont have a choice. also Ganguly has not got enough runs under his belt in the domestic circuit.
Ganguly's 144 at Brisbane in Australia is one of the best innings he's ever played, and no one doubts his potential as a batsman. But does he have the mental toughness to face the present day format of the game????? His reply to this is that if he can play in Australia then he can very well play in SA.
The answer to all or questions will come out clear once the test series gets underway!!!I just hope he proves his critics wrong and comes through not because I am fond of him, but just because the Indian team needs a few wins under their belt!!

Lets all hope for the best!!!!

New interests in life!!!

After the move to mumbai, there are a lot of things I have learnt, one of them being hindi shayaris....and I owe it to my friend Arun....

Safed sadi aur lal bindi mein,
maa kasam tum ambulance nazar aati ho,
Ambulance to ghayalon ko le jate hain,
Par tum dil ko ghayal karke jaati ho!!!!

Tumhe dekh ke hum,
sharma ke muh pher lete hain,
Tumhari zulfon ko choo nahin sakte par,
Apni daadhi mein haath pher lete hain!!!!!!!!!!!!

A day I'll never forget!!

During college I was posted at Patni Computer Systems, and the company had given Mumbai as my location..... This was I think the 1st of September, I had just reached Dadar at around 630 in the morning!!!.....
Mumbai life at 630 is unthinkable, there is confusion all around you...

Coming bak to my story!! I had to go my friends place in Chembur , and I had with me 2 heavy baggages!!! One sardar came upto me and he asked me where I wanted to go....I told him where I wanted to! He took me to his taxi where there were 2 other sardars... this was turning out to be a little scary!! Both of them were 6 ft must be weighin about 90 kgs each....

As I got into the taxi, the guys got into a conv. with me and asked me for a change of 1000 bucks, They needed 2 500's!!!
I gave it to them, and I got a 1000 rupee note in return!! After a while , probably abt 300 meters from the station, the guys tell me that it would cost about 300 rupess to get to chembur, when I very well knew that it would cost me 100 rupees by cab.

I told them to stop the car, and checked their 1000 buck note, it turned out to be fake.... I stopped the car, it turned into a little argument, and finally there stood a mob of people around me...

The local crowd helped me out of the confusion, I got my 2 500 buck notes back, and i caught another taxi bak home!!

Its true that 90% of mumbai is honest but the 10% compensate for the rest of the crowd!!!!

Lights will guide you home.......

I guess this has been my all time favorite band and I have been listening to one song again and again and again..........
Its called Fix yuou by Coldplay and the more number of times I listen to it, the more i like it.....

I just got the lyrics from the web and it goes as follows:

When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse.

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream, down on your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down on your face
And I..

Tears stream, down on your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down on your face
And I..

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you.................
