Cracked Life:::::
I have a fractured ankle, I limp to work...I asked for an off, as I needed to rest...I wished my injury would not aggrevate....But then since I had worked my ass off for 2 months...my boss wants me to work for another week...its nice to see that people would miss you at work, but should I really care???? how would you feel in my position....I feel pretty shitty as if my hard work has lead to them taking me for granted....I might catch a flight bak home tom!!

It's Been long::::
It's been long since i wrote a post here.... frankly i have not had the time.. life s brought about a lot of surprises, over the last 2 months...
I have finally got what I wanted, my frnds back here in Mumbai would know what I am talking about, I am living it up... loving it, though life's all of a sudden become more hectic... MOre is not the word....
Man Utd. are on a high, with Ronaldo, signing his contract again... we will be rocking for years to come.... Indian teams in a mess... sad that their loss to Bangladesh spoilt a night of my trip to Goa, but finally, who cares, they don't why should we????
Mumbai's the place to be... I used to wonder when Sweta used to say that people, who have been brought up in Mumbai, will find it tough to survive elsewhere...I got my answer.. she was right....not for the first time....
Abhi-Ash seem to be on the front page of every paper, things will never change yesterday's breaking news informing all where the laddoos for their wedding wil be brought from... thats how life is... Life's a bummer as I used to say....it's very true...
Someone's being telling this to me now for long, that I have changed a lot... that someone was right i guess...
Its time to make one more trip back home... meet the loved ones, but I guess coming back this time will not hurt as much as the last time did....I know why and a lot of them know too :)

When the going gets tough.......
It's not been the best of days for me, the last fortnight being terrible, and Giri's tranfer news to Chennai, its sad that I have experienced certain things I never wanted to..... As this life of mine rolls on, there s a lot that I miss, a lot that I wish I could do, a lot I hope for....
Just typing out a few things I so badly want to do:::
* A smoke with Jagdish at Sai
* A dinner with Durga : Cos she makes me forget all
* A talk with Manish at the temple; I am pretty sure he knows where this place is
* A drink with Dad, before dinner, would love listening to his stories
* A pink lemonade a Shreya's place, she makes it damn well
* Pulling Neha's leg, that tops my list
* A chat at Rado with Rohit, Manish, Navneeth
* An SRK movie with Shweta, you bet, that's number 2 on my list
* An aimless 11.00 drive to Ascendas
* A late night hookah at Mocha
* All of us at Speed at saturday night
The consequences of a belting given by Mumbai apart from a lot of fun that I have had........

Annual Day 2007::: A lot of fun amidst a lot of confusion...
Ok!! Annual Day 2007, an event that I shall never forget not because it was not way too awesome, but for the fact that it was the first ever Patni Annual Day I had attended....I had a nice session across the table with Sai and Giri the night before....and it resulted in the usual...breakfast at 11...
To add to my miseries, I had to leave at like 12.30ish as I had to get there 2 hours before time, in order to get some details on what I had to compere upon..neways a bus ride to Borivali and a train ride to Jogeshwari, wasn't too exciting...My co-host Deepa, landed up late, and I am not blaming her for that, it's the company.....She got there, and it was 4, and by that time Vinod had also come along with Snehal. Annual day had started for us as soon as the drinks (ah ah drinks were cold-drinks) were being offered, and the three of us(Vinod, Snehal and I) gulped down 3, 4 glasses of all available.
Then I had to do my job, but the mikes hadn't arrived...finally it did, Deepa and me finished our job amidst all confusion....My group came along, and they were mostly found near the beverages stall...All throught the evening we kept on losing each other, amidst about 8000 people.....but finally managed to gather together before the DJ event...As the evening went ahead, along with food, boring speeches, awards, and a lot more, it was dinner time soon... The lines at the counters could probably cover the distance between Churchgate and Borivali, if all of us were made to stand in a straight line...After dinner was DJ time....Although the music was not that good, we had a lot of fun.... danced our hearts out for an hour....did a lot of shit that I cant mention about....newayz, Annual Day 2007 was an experience...
Finally at around 11 we all departed to wherever we had to go...105 patni buses going in different directions across Mumbai...All I knew was that I reached at 12.15 AM, as the ride back was home was an opportunity to catch up on a lot of lost sleep....
Cheers!!

Abhishek+Ash Engagement ke side effects!!!
This was something that was speculated, but still Mumbai's not recovered from the hangover of Abishek's and Ash' s engagement. Reading through the newspapers, and watching news channel has made me truly realise the impact of Bollywood on Mumbai.
It was late sunday night, and Vipin and I were watching I don't know what....as we continued moving from channel to channel, we saw a flash news flickering at the bottom of every news channel. It was no shock to us, that Ash and AB Jr. were engaged, but the whole of Mumbai had been taken by surprise. Over the next half an hour we, realised the impact of the event combined with the media on the Mumbaikars.
These are some of the hilarious statements we heard that night.......
A local man: "Jaise hi humne yeh khabar suni, mere padosi ne kaha ki hamein Amitabh ji ke ghar jana chahiya, aur hum apne ghar se nikal ke aaye, hamara ghar 20 km door hai par humein aana hi tha"(This was a 12.00 midnight)
( for those who find it tough interpreting this ill translate it: The man said that as soon as he heard the news of the engagement, his neighbour told him that they should go to Amitabh's house, and they left immediately from their place which was about 20 kms away from Jalsa(AB's house in Juhu)) ...for what joy??? Vipin and I wondered "at 12.00 in the night??")
The reality behind the situation is that even when the local man was standing outside with a mob, of similar people like him.... the the Bachchan's the Rai's the Ambani's all were having a party inside Big B's house...
Its sad that the people let these emotions overshadow practicalities of life..........
The next, was something that caught our eye and I guess we shall laugh over this for a week::
The TV channel had interviewed, guess who: a pandit, on how their marriage would turn out to be:
We made something outta this:
PAndit: Abishek ke Shukra aur Aishwarya ke guru ko dekh ke lagta hai ki unki shaadi mangal ko honi chahiye:::
I mean get a life: Interviewing a pandit...why why??? What the hell is wrong with these media people??? Leave the pandit's alone atleast!!!
Thirdly, the media going gaga over how, when, where, Abhishek proposed Ash, who he called first after that, what he told them, how did his parents react, her parents reaction, what his mother made for dinner at the party......and a lot more crap......
The news that tops them all, on how the Bachchan's have taken Ash's kiss (with Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2), in the right way, although they were a bit unhappy about it in the beginning.......
Trust me, you live in Mumbai, newspapers and TV will keep you going for a day...but make sure you keep your head above your shoulder's!!!!

GURU!!! A must see!!!
After a move to Mumbai, my usual week ends with a movie on Friday night, the late 11 P.M movies at a Cinemax near my house. There s a usual bunch, about 10 of us, who make it to late friday night movies, happy about the fact that we have a weekend to sleep......this friday was GURU.... and the movie turned to be a as expected. The movie has AB Jr. and the love of his life, Ash...(now that they are engaged :-) , i can say that).....GURU is a story of a guy, who lives to fulfil his dreams ( AB Jr.). The move starts with a steamy number by Mallika Sherawat, and continues with AB Jr. ruling the screen. AB Jr. has acted really really well I must say and Ash for once has looked charming , and natural. The highlight of the movie has to AR Rahman's music. The movie apart from the controversies its been assosiated with, is a great one..... I liked it and i guess many of you guys will.....
